Overall, I enjoyed the show for what it was. I attended the matinee performance, and it was clear this was a small production with a lot of heart behind it.

The opening number was especially fun and immediately set an energetic tone. The lead had a fantastic singing voice, and the cast as a whole delivered strong vocal performances that they should be proud of. The acting was solid overall, and the story itself is worth seeing.

A few production elements could elevate the experience even further. I think microphones would make a big difference, as there were moments when dialogue was difficult to hear. The lighting also felt a little inconsistent, occasionally changing in ways that seemed distracting during scenes. At times, the pacing felt slightly rushed, and a stronger investment in the set and props would help immerse the audience more fully in the story while giving the actors more to work with.

Performance-wise, the actor playing the mother had an incredible voice. I wasn’t fully convinced by the father’s performance, although I understand he was performing with a broken foot, which may have made it more difficult to fully embody the role.

Overall, I’d still recommend seeing it for the heartfelt story, talented singers, and enjoyable choreography. There’s a lot of potential here, and with a few production enhancements, this could become an even more memorable theatrical experience.

the musician is awesome, sax and guitar are wonderful. the story is pretty good but several actors are very quiet and dont project well. smooth transitions, and blocking is good. The singing is good but would have been better miked . costumes and hair were great. mother is a fantastic singer .
