Sincerely, E

Sincerely, E is an intimate portrait of a young Caribbean woman forging a new life across oceans. Set between 1960s London and Toronto, it follows her journey through migration, love, and the search for belonging. Rooted in the legacy of the Windrush generation, it is a story of resilience and home.

Sincerely, E was a delight to see. A much needed story that touches on the Caribbean immigrant experience. Something I loved is that community and culture seeps into every aspect of this production, from familiar tunes, to the language and humour. It felt like a story being passed down from family in its delivery and its lessons. The story balances moments of turmoil with lightheartedness, and hope. It’s a story that depicts perseverance, and as someone of Caribbean descent, it left me proud of generations prior, whilst also empowering me to continue to pursue greatness. I hope to see this production grow in the near future. With beautifully written dialogue, I’d recommend you all to come out and see this piece, especially those from the Caribbean diaspora!

See It Again

Sincerely,E was a wonderful nod to the countless stories I grew up hearing from the many brave and resilient family members immigrating from the Caribbean islands to where we now call home here in Toronto. The origin story, the familiar vernacular, the intimate staging followed by the ongoing soundtrack, really made this experience feel like we weren’t just apart of an audience, but as if sitting among family, engaged and encountering another tale from a relative. Very well done, and I hope to one day see the show taken up a level and on a bigger scale and stage! Get your tickets if you haven’t yet!!

See It Again

Sincerely, E! What a beautiful story of discovery, friendship, resilience, and love set during a time when being Black came with immense challenges. As someone of Guyanese descent, I felt a deep personal connection to this story and its characters. This show took me on an emotional journey, I laughed, I cried, and I was completely captivated from beginning to end. The performances were incredible, and every actor brought so much authenticity and heart to their role. My only complaint? I wish it had been longer! This is exactly the kind of story that deserves to be told, shared, and remembered. Thank you for bringing it to life.
