Adam Watt-Sinclair
Kamal is a master storyteller, and a damn fine comedian, and he brings this 100% true story to life on stage.
His jokes are timed well, his physical and prop comedy is on point, his fourth wall breaks and digs at his past left my sides in desperate need of stitches. This man conned his way into fringe superstardom in 60 short minutes. Go see this show! Its a great one.
This show is what that new Velma series should have been, tbh...
I jest, but this felt exactly like a scooby doo episode, just with more afldult humor. Logan Stefura and his cast wove a really concise and funny story about love, loss, and intrigue in with several twists, a bad trip, and of course, scooby snacks. The only flaw i could find was that it was relatively slow to begin, but otherwise, perfect.
I will not spoil any more. Do yourself a favor and go see this wonderful show!
This play isn't about them!
A masterfully crafted and acted 2 man show, Ryan and Jeff Gladstone do incredibly well at bouncing between characters of all sorts, and returning to being themselves all at once. A chaotic, frenetic energy from the outset, hilarious jokes, guffaw worthy sight gags, cannons, and sheep, oh my! This show was truly worthy of my partial standing ovation! Do yourself a favor and go see this historical play turned sibling rivalry!
Big Dumb Babies put on an improv shitshow in the best way possible!
Its improv with a deviously designed twist: suggestions from the audience come in the form of BRIBES: big dumb dollars having to be put down on anything from naming a character, killing a character... hell, you can even run the show yourself if you've got the money! The cast of kooky characters running the show is great, too! Tara, the ex-lover, Sean, the wacky oldest friend, Brooke, the rising star, and Ryan, the nephew who was a placeholder because they couldnt get a better fourth in time. All with Paul, the director, overseeing, and generally fucking with the show.
Every show is different, so go see it as many times as you are able to! I know I'll definitely be seeing it again!
Andrew Iwanyk warned me not to review this show unless it was 5 stars, but gosh darn it, i'm gonna do it.
Wacky, unhinged weirdness. Plenty of Audience interaction (as it is the premise of the show, one audience member gets their dream fulfilled.) Absolutely hilarious bits from minute 1 to minute 'The End'. I dare not spoil anything about this show, as it would ruin the magic of this experience. Simply put: GO SEE IT!!
