Brendan Darling

This is one of those shows we decided to see because of how it fit into our fringe schedule and we could not have been happier with this choice. The performances were great and we often found ourselves bursting with laughter. After I found out this was a true story I was even more impressed.

Watching Colum the alley pigeon try its hardest to win back humanities love all by themselves could be a bit sad at times but mostly it was funny. A couple times I did find myself looking around at the other attendees but overall I had a great time.

I didn't know what this was about besides storytelling which is a personal interest of mine. The performance was a great surprise and hit me especially hard due to life events. I may have left after crying but I would gladly watch this again.

I had an extravagant evening of burlesque and philosophy. The lack of a fourth wall and size of the space made this an intimate performance. I learned lots and would suggest so many others should learn these lessons from Violette Coquette as well, but sadly for them all the shows are sold out.
