Seeing the critical reviews of Fear Fables made me really appreciate this show even more than I already did. Could there have been improvements ie: music being too loud, lighting choices, use of space… sure. But critiques about the content within the show has been funny to read. I’m sorry did we watch the same super campy punk rock drag show? I’m not here watching Hamilton, I’m watching a showcase of individual queer performers basing their performances on a theme with a loosey goosey narrative. The show knows is unserious, however you can see the sincerity in the set, the costumes, and community (selling out their entire run!) More drag, more punk, more camp, more queer art!
