Clown is not my thing. These performers are very good, and do clown very well. If you are not a fan of clown though skip this show. If you like clown pile on with the rest of the clown world !
Very well done, especially for a one women show. Great writing,, skillful transitions between characters. Was fun that the audience got to clap and participate. Her portrayal of the 40 year old, jaded, smoking contestant was very funny and believable. Set was minimal but very effective. Samantha the performer was outstanding in her roll. I would be curious to see this play with two or three performers
Some of the character transitions keep you on your toes, but does not detract too much from a good play.
This will get you thinking about what it means to be empowered, and questioning pageants for woman. We would not have a pageant for men. Pageants are about more than the beauty of women of course, but the platform has an undercurrent of " she is beautiful and amazingly can also be smart and talented.
