Judy Walker
I watched Scooby Doo with my kids when they were little. This production had me laughing and dancing in my seat. The casting for Velma and Daphne was spot on, the two actors embodying the characters to a T, never missing a beat in the upbeat dialogue.
I loved the music. There is one scene when Velma and Daphne break into a dance. That alone is worth seeing the play a second time.
The set (Fred’s van) was brilliant, as were other references to the cartoon. (Jinkies 🤩.)
Exceptional first work by Logan Stefura and the members of the fEarless Joe Theatre company.
If you are a fan of Scooby Doo or just want a good laugh at clever dialogue and a beautiful love story, this play is for you.
I saw the play on Saturday. The performance by Jack Walker as Eugene Crawley was powerful and believable. I was a participant at a seminar about serial killers.
The script took up 75 minutes and in my opinion, every minute was necessary to build on the suspense and creepy atmosphere.
An exceptional, immersive experience. If you are a fan of crime drama, don’t miss it!
Imagine a who done it that’s part Clue and part female Inspector Clouseau. The story is a 70s Hollywood murder mystery. The cast is fresh, the dialogue sharp, the humour and clever word play had me giggling the entire time.
If you need a laugh after a heavy show, or are a fan of comedy and great acting, I highly recommend this quirky play.
I’ll for sure see it again because I’ve no doubt missed some clever twist of phrase.
