The Runaround is a true Fringe experience, a combination of elements so disparate that it could only happen here. Whether you're intrigued by the Amish, ready to reflect on themes of difference and acceptance, as well as traditional and modern forms of community shunning, or you simply love hearing someone hit a beautiful high note over an electronic beat, you may find something to enjoy. It’s undeniably a little strange, in the best way, and while it won’t be for everyone, its sincerity and commitment make it a memorable and uniquely Fringe offering.

At Our Feet is an engaging dystopian romp, with sharply defined characters and a world brought vividly to life through a wealth of small details and clever twists worthy of a modern 1984. The pacing is tight and polished throughout, keeping the momentum strong from start to finish, and with a full house on June 14, it’s clearly a show that shouldn’t be missed (get your tickets now). While the ending left me wanting a bit more resolution, that feeling was quickly eclipsed by an irresistible urge to discuss “Beef Day” with anyone who would listen.

Rage Becomes Her est un véritable tourbillon d’émotions, oui surtout la rage, mais l’autrice nous invite à explorer les multiples facettes de la colère à travers une expérience participative. Le spectacle met en scène des incarnations spirituelles et des rituels inspirés de figures féminines mythiques, accompagnés d’une musique profondément cathartique. Anizäbel interprète, par ses mots, ses mouvements sur la musique, et par sa présence, une performance à la fois finement chorégraphiée et captivante, tout en demeurant profondément authentique et en lien direct avec le public. J’ai eu l’occasion d’y participer directement, et j’en suis ressortie portée par une belle énergie. Cette expérience m’a rappelé l’importance de ne pas négliger les émotions difficiles auxquelles nous sommes confrontées dans notre monde, et de puiser de la force dans l’héritage de ces femmes mythiques.
