Miss Eleanor
There's a lot of heart and a need to tell this story for the writer/actor. They are engaging, with surprising moments. It's funny at times and sad at other times. The videos add to the theatricality.
The actors are truly charming, and it starts off very promisingly. The shadow work is fun and engaging, but the story needs work - dramatically, structurally, tension, etc.
The performers are amazing. The story is predictable and while sweetly portrayed, is banal. Go see the show if you want to see good actors on stage who really work well together and their comic sweetness shows through. Skip the show if you're looking for something surprising.
Extremely well written and well acted. The lighting design and sound design were also perfectly executed. There are plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and deep feelings I experienced watching this play about four teenagers in a private school as they figure themselves out. There are sexual moments that were well staged. I'd see it again because the play moves quickly, and I think I would get even more from watching it again.
