Not sure what I was expecting from this show, although there was a promise of hearing something about the mythic healing powers of the Cliffs of Mohr. The cliffs are mentioned, but the storyline is really about an obsession with candy, perhaps not surprising considering the show name. I enjoyed the energy, but lost the plot with stories about bananas and how he mistreated his diesel-fuelled rental car. Others I talked to later highly recommended this show to others, so what do I know!

This actor is a master of the stage, movement, sound and light. I saw his last show, "Things I hide from my Dad" twice. This show was just as good!
This is storytelling at its best. I was swept along in the highs and lows of humanity, creativity, vision and hope. The show is exciting, funny, tender and at times disorienting (in a good way). Definitely take this adventure, and expect to crave candy by the end.
Candy is a special show. Travis' telling of the story is, on its own worth seeing. It is enchanting and hilarious, but also confronting in its relatability. But this is not just a storytelling show. The sound-design is truly impressive and the way that it pairs with Travis' physical performance/movement is in equal parts beautiful, heart-breaking, and funny. Candy is a whole world of art built by a multi-talented performer, who so sincerely and tenderly shares it with the audience.
