Chase & Tymisha's Cabaret of Courage
See Fringe legends Chase Padgett and Tymisha Harris push their limits and attempt things they’ve always feared doing on stage in this hilarious world premiere cabaret! Guitar phenom, singer/songwriter and improviser Chase pairs with triple-threat diva and burlesque champion Tymisha for the ultimate must-see disaster!
This was a really fun and lighthearted performance with a bit of everything, from great musical covers to dancing and burlesque. I thought the song choices were generally excellent, although at times Tymisha’s strong voice drowned out Chase’s. It may have been a volume issue, as the balance seemed better later in the show, but initially it was a little distracting.
I also found that some of the songs felt a bit less rehearsed than others. That said, the performance as a whole was thoroughly enjoyable, and both Chase and Tymisha did a phenomenal job. It was a lively, entertaining show with plenty of variety, and I had a great time watching it.
These two both have incredible vocal talent. The show was cute, but they both do individual shows so much better. It was very Cabaret. But i believe these two excel in storytelling, and i felt that was missing.
If you love familiar songs, incredible vocals, and performers who know how to have fun on stage, Chase & Tymisha's Cabaret of Courage is a performance worth checking out. This two-person show combines powerful singing, dancing, humour, and storytelling to create an entertaining experience. One of the more interesting parts of the performance is the story woven between the songs. Chase and Tymisha share pieces of how they met and the experiences that eventually brought them to the stage together. These moments give the audience a glimpse into their journey while also providing a nice contrast to the bigger musical numbers. Their voices are undoubtedly one of the highlights. They work incredibly well together, creating powerful harmonies while still allowing each performer to show off their individual strengths. Their stage presence is equally strong, and the addition of choreography brings even more energy to their performances. The variety of music keeps the show appealing throughout. Moving between different genres and eras, the familiar songs create plenty of moments for the audience to recognize, enjoy, and react to. The chemistry between Chase and Tymisha is another major strength. Their playful teasing and banter make the performance feel natural, while their willingness to challenge themselves creates some of the most memorable moments of the show. You never quite know what they will attempt next, which makes the audience eager to see where the performance will go. Overall, Chase & Tymisha's Cabaret of Courage is an entertaining mix of music, storytelling, comedy, and personality. It is a show that doesn't take itself too seriously while still giving its performers plenty of opportunities to showcase their impressive talents. With strong vocals, lively performances, audience interaction, and unexpected moments throughout, this is a cabaret that can leave you laughing, cheering, and wanting another song before the show is over.
Tymisha and Chase have been Fringe standouts for years. Now, in their first shared production they are absolutely delightful. Watch Chase dance. See Tymisha improvise lyrics. And those voices go so wonderfully well together. See it soon. See it often.
