Don't Kill Daisy
So creative and comical. The show has tons of audience participation and the actress is so good at adapting to the suggestions. The character is well funny and the actress performs hilarious physical comedy. I loved the parallels between video game and anime characters. Super funny, silly and wacky. I would totally recommend and see again.
This brand new show is a little rough around the edges, and that is part of its charm. The performer is so, so likable; her struggle to run sound, make foley sound effects, perform, and manage the audience interaction all on her own make the show clunky in a weirdly wonderful way. The story is silly and the stakes are low, but the audience interaction is delightfully unpredictable and I guess the real stakes are whether she can take the audience nonsense and make it work. And no, it's not the kind of audience interaction we all hate, it's low-expectation, on-your-own-terms, fun and playful interaction. I recommend this show to folks who enjoy unpolished performances with lots of heart. I would love to see this show again after it's had a little time to age into itself.
