Gratitude
This was a powerful piece. The play is extremely well written with fast paced dialogue and shifting perspectives and narrative. I'm not sure I would characterise it as a 'comedy', although it was very, very funny in places, it dealt with some pretty serious content. Thinking back to the short run time and setting it's pretty astonishing it covered so much. The acting was fantastic, and the strong cast really brought their characters to life, managing to be endearing, exasperating, baffling and horrifying. It's certainly a play that will stay with me.
Love the story
This is a must-see! Hard-hitting, superbly acted, provocative story!
Come see it. Come see it. Come see it. Come see it.
I definitely had gratitude for this one and so will you.
All kidding aside, the audience was painfully small for this one.
If you like a gripping drama with absolutely no lag along with twists and turns, come for the theatre. And if you like your theatre to breeze by and examine some important concepts through the story telling, then you will get it.
Writing was great, acting superb from a young cast.
The only thing preventing me from rating it higher was I could not believe that teens could be in reality that manipulative, wise, vicious. But that's just because I wasn't like that as a teen.
Indeed, extremely well written and well acted. A tough subject that was quite hard to pull off, but it was masterfully done.
My only critique is a somewhat rushed anti-climatic ending. There was so much build up during the show and unfortunately the ending didn't quite tie it all together.
Nonetheless, I massively enjoyed the performance and would still recommend it.
Extremely well written and well acted. The lighting design and sound design were also perfectly executed. There are plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and deep feelings I experienced watching this play about four teenagers in a private school as they figure themselves out. There are sexual moments that were well staged. I'd see it again because the play moves quickly, and I think I would get even more from watching it again.
This is a show I’m going to have to see again, because the ending was so shocking, and it wasn’t just me, I heard so many gasps from the audience. It is definitely about power and sexuality, (and there are a bunch of simulated sexual acts, just a warning) but it’s also about expectations and hope, and some misguided feelings and confusions about sex that many teenagers grapple with. The writing is profound and the four actors each have moments of brilliance where they are absolutely their characters. So yeah, I’m going to see it again.
