I Belong Here
Lily Librach had me captivated the moment she walked on stage for her one woman show , I Belong Here. The opening song, The Circle Game, landed directly in my heart and had me in tears. Lily held the audience in the palm of her hand. She digs deep for such a young woman, sprinkling bits of humour throughout. Along with her incredible vocal range, she is a natural storyteller and what a story she has to share. This is a must see! Congratulations Lily for a spectacular show ! You are a star!!!!
Accompanied by a pianist, Librach tells a touching story of her struggles and triumphs as she navigates the topsy turvy works of musical theatre, performing arts school, teaching kids and navigating the US immigration system. Her voice is a revelation, seamlessly switching from pop to Broadway to operatic trills. She is lovely to look at, a delight to hear and clearly destined for bigger things. See her now so you can say you got to.
I had the privilege of seeing “I Belong Here- reclaiming my voice” at The Fringe Festival last night. What a treat! For one full hour, Lily Librach, in her one woman show, sang, danced and acted with humour, vulnerability and poise, as she shared her story of perseverance against all odds to live her passion- performing. What a tour de force! Like the show’s title professes, Lily Librach belongs on the stage! Do not miss this show!
Lily Librach ‘s one woman singing show quite incredible . She has quite a story to tell in her young 26 years . The songs that she chose to accompany her journey in her young life thus far were gorgeous . I cried and I laughed and I marvelled at her crystalline beautiful voice. If you get a chance to see I BELONG HERE you should go. Bravo to this young talented woman! 💪❤️
Lily gives an outstanding performance as she takes you on a captivating journey through the seasons of her life becoming the vocal superstar and powerful stage presence that she is, starting from a young age to the present day.
Her performance is intelligent, engaging and humorous with some truly witty and surprising moments.
I highly recommend anyone and everyone to see her show. You’ll be taken on a roller coaster ride of emotions and aural pleasure and leave feeling hopeful and happy.
Bravo Lily Librach! 👏🏻
Lily is a truly extraordinary powerhouse. She is an incredible talent with the most beautiful soul, and it shines through in every moment she is on stage. Her voice is beyond angelic—it's transcendent, filled with so much emotion. Her one-woman show completely captivated me from start to finish. Lily takes you on a journey of resilience, courage, humour, and hope. She reminds us that even in life's most difficult moments, we can find strength, embrace joy, and choose gratitude. Lily has a rare gift for making every person in the audience feel connected, seen, and uplifted. BRAVA!!!!
I really enjoyed the performance, the authenticity and most of all, Lilly's amazing voice. In retrospect, what didn't work for me is the name of the show and the last song, that albeit touching, felt like it was there just to justify the title. The story itself about finding her voice, didn't seem to connect with it organically, or maybe I missed something. Either way, it didn't take away much, and I thoroughly enjoyed it - you should check it out!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I Belong Here is absolutely SENSATIONAL!
Lily Librach delivers a mesmerizing performance that is, without question, the finest I've ever seen at the Toronto Fringe Festival, this year or any year previous. Her voice is extraordinary — rich, powerful, and filled with emotion. As she effortlessly moves through a wonderful selection of songs, interwoven with heartfelt stories from her own life, she creates an intimate and unforgettable theatrical experience.
Her repertoire includes Broadway favourites, including music from The Phantom of the Opera. I literally had goosebumps listening to her sing. Every note is beautifully delivered, and her stage presence completely captivates the audience.
This performance is far beyond what anyone expects from a Fringe production. It has the polish, artistry, professionalism and vocal excellence of a concert you would expect to experience at Massey Hall or Carnegie Hall. Lily Librach possesses the talent and charisma of a Broadway star.
Still only in her twenties, she has an incredibly bright future ahead of her. I have no doubt we'll be seeing her on much bigger stages in the years to come.
If you have the chance to see I Belong Here, don't miss it. It's an unforgettable experience of music and storytelling. I am hoping to find a spot in my busy Fringe schedule of almost 40 shows to see it again.
