In Search of Black People
Roz Browne searches for her tribe and connections as she journeys through life. Boston native talks about moving to a mostly all white neighborhood, or as she says it There were 3 black families on the blockand being bussed to an all white school in the suburbs. With these two major moves, Roz discovers a humorous way of dealing with the racial topics and issues.If back up was needed, her Mom, a human rights activist had her back. Years later a Christmas gift reveal through ancestry.com leads her on a trip to Ghana.

See It Again
What a performance! Roz Browne is a maestro of storytelling, comedic timing, and audience connection. It wasn't hard to fall in love with her on stage and with the ease that she moved from story point to story point. As an added bonus? She had family in the audience that she had been able to meet for the first time thanks in part to the Halifax Fringe. She may have been In Search of Black People and community came out to support enthusiastically!

Very impactful, authentic telling of growing up in 1970s Boston from the perspective of a black woman. The gentle delivery heightened the impact. Humor comes through but mixed with the pain of enduring racism .
