Lou Reed's Magic and Loss: an interactive show about grief and death

Lou Reeds Magic and Loss emerged at the height of the AIDS crisis in the early 1990s. It hit hard, shining a light on death, memory, and grieving in inner city New York. Based on the recent loss of two close friends, the poetry is cathartic, harsh, and beautiful. Jamey (voice, guitar) and Gay (voice, saxophone, clarinet) weave in original material to create an intimate space where they explore loss, pain, and the vulnerable work of healingterritory rarely visited in popular culture. Audiences leave the show with a closer relationship to their own hearts and our common humanity.
