Sexy Fringe Show

This was my first ever Fringe show, and honestly I took so much from Gabrielle. My friend and I are both autistic and we agreed that this was such a seriously wonderful performance! The balance of humour and seriousness really made this show unforgettable. I can tell Gabrielle really enjoyed engaging with the audience. My friend and I talked about some of the things that resonated from Gabrielle's lived experience as an autistic woman. I could go on about it but overall, I had so much fun!

A very heartfelt and charming one-person show! I wasn’t sure what to expect because I haven’t seen something in this format before. I appreciated the performer’s authenticity and humour, and the pacing was good. Thanks to the artist for sharing what it has been like for her to navigate the world with autism and be the subject of inspiration porn in such an engaging, tongue-in-cheek way.

This is exactly what I hope for from a Fringe show: a thoughtful, energetic, and fun-to-watch performer making me see something normalized in my life from a new POV.

This show was giving memoir meets lecture in a boudoir, in the best way. 💋 Subtle posture and costume changes brought us through a kaleidoscope of ideas and moments amounting to a heartfelt insight into "the performance of a lifetime".

AV and props were used effectively and it gave me warm fuzzies to have a shout out to the tech team built-in 🤜🤛

I'll start by saying it is hard for me to connect with one person shows. That being said, I've seen some great ones at fringe in the past: a woman living with traumatic brain injury, a man becoming a rescuer of the vulnerable after undergoing sexual trauma and performers like TJ Dawe.

This for me sadly was not one of them.

I watched this show called inspirational porn star which is about autism and left not knowing what autism is, nor what an inspirational porn star is even though the term was repeated many a time and how it relates to autism. The show was formatted like a TED talk with powerpoint. It was mainly about the performer's life subdivided into chapters.

The performer is nice, charming, sincere and very quick. A lot of people may understand this show better than I did. It was mostly all just over my head. It flew right over as if I lived under water meaning her and I are just two different kinds of humans. To understand it, I'd have to become a flying fish.

I liked a few anecdotes like receiving an embarrassing award and comparing an intimate encounter to an ATM machine but that was it.

Just not for me.

Laughed So Hard I Cried

Extremely funny and insightful. For a one-person show to hit well, a charismatic performance is a must, and Gabrielle is brimming with it. The meticulously crafted script is brilliantly paced, naturally flowing between moments of witty comedy and painfully relatable glimpses into reality.

I absolutely adored this show! It felt candid and intimate while also being polished and incorporating well thought out costumes and staging. I loved the use of the projector, and Gabrielle is truly such a charismatic and one of a kind performer and story teller. Don’t miss your chance to catch this gem!!!!

Gabby’s one-woman show is a deeply moving, funny, and unforgettable look at what it means to navigate life with autism while masking so much of who you are. She is vulnerable and irresistible—both sexy and disarmingly honest—as she invites the audience into her world with remarkable authenticity.

Through humor, heartbreak, and raw storytelling, Gabby shares her experiences growing up with autism and the constant pressure to fit in, while exposing the judgments that people with autism often face. Although her story is uniquely her own, it resonates on a universal level. Most of us know what it’s like to desperately want to belong, to hide parts of ourselves, or to wonder if we’re “too much” or “not enough.” Her struggles brought back powerful memories of my own attempts to fit in growing up.

What makes this performance so extraordinary is its emotional range. One moment you’re laughing out loud, and the next you’re wiping away tears. It doesn’t just entertain—it challenges you to think more deeply about empathy, acceptance, and the invisible burdens so many people carry.

I wholeheartedly recommend seeing this play. It tugged at my heartstrings, made me laugh, made me think, and made me cry. Gabby delivers a performance that is courageous, captivating, and profoundly human—one that will stay with you long after the curtain falls.
