No Tweed Too Tight

The year is 1981. Grant Canyon is a perpetually inebriated insurance investigator. In his few coherent moments he leaves a wake of dead bodies, satisfied lovers, and empty bottles. “An explosive drop-kick to the head!” ****1/2 -Edmonton Sun “A high-octane romp!” ****1/2 -Winnipeg Free Press

Laughed So Hard I Cried

No Tweed Too Tight was above and beyond anything I expected when I purchased my ticket. I have no idea if Ryan Gladstone has done other performances as Grant Canyon (and every other character on the absurdly long list of characters), but I'm itching for the opportunity to come back for another entry in what I hope is a series! If you have a soft-spot in your heart for 70's / 80's action and can appreciate the absurd premise of an alcoholic insurance investigator blacking out and waking up in a new scene that he has to establish not only for the audience, but for himself as well, in a series of increasingly absurd scenarios, I'm sure I'll enjoy this. It's an absolute delight!

Laughed So Hard I Cried

“Damn, he’s good.”

It’s a line from No Tweed Too Tight, but by the end of the show, it might as well be the audience’s collective reaction. Ryan Gladstone somehow plays every character in this chaotic, hilarious mystery — and makes it look effortless.

With just a wooden box, a chair, and his face (which honestly deserves its own credit), he builds an entire world onstage. Lighting shifts, audio cues, and his insanely fast character swaps turn a simple setup into something that feels way bigger than a one-man show has any right to be. It’s like watching an entire cast — until you remember, nope, still just Ryan.

The story dives into the scrambled mind of Grant Canyon, a high profile insurance investigator with a memory problem and way too many enemies. As the mystery unfolds, the plot gets weirder (in the best way), the characters get wilder, and the audience laughs harder — especially when Gladstone breaks the fourth wall like it owes him money.

No Tweed Too Tight isn’t just clever — it’s straight-up impressive. Fast-paced, smart, and stupidly funny, it proves how far one guy with a good idea and ridiculous range can take a story.

Yeah. Damn, he’s good.

This one man show had me laughing from the opening flashes!!! This is the second show I have seen Ryan in this week. It was amazing!!! His jokes and timing were spot on! The multiple characters he portrayed were amazing and the plot - well even my crazy imagination was blown away!!! Very well done. Have seen a couple shows since and I’m still talking about this one!!
