Awesome show, super funny and kind of wild to be able to do all that without loosing the sweetness of the story. Went with an 80s kid and part way through they lent over and whispered excitedly "is he going to do the bit with the neighbour??" like they were watching the actual movie which I think is pretty high praise.
This is the most entertaining show I have seen in a long time. Don't sleep on this!! Duran CRUSHES in One Man Home Alone. It's so funny and engaging, and he is so clever with what he chose to include to summarize the movie. Just amazing!
I loved the show so much I went twice! Duran is such a talented performer, and he is soooo funny. Both shows had something different to offer in terms of comedy, wit, and performance. Same storyline but it is never the same show twice! Truly remarkable work, I am excited to see what next is in store for this incredible person!
Absolutely phenomenal, lightning fast, witty and full of heart. Duran weaves together a whip-smart one man rendition of a holiday favourite and leaves you absolutely floored. Highly recommend, and I look forward to seeing it again and again!
This was my favourite of all the Fringe shows I saw this year. Family friendly so if your kiddo is old enough to watch the movie, they are old enough to come see this. Cruickshank encapsulates all the magic of the movie in a tightly-paced show with tons of physical comedy.
Loved this from start to finish! He nailed the delivery of all the famous lines, and managed to distill the movie into just over 30 minutes of non-stop fun. Highly recommended!
Duran’s performance was absolutely spectacular! I consider myself a huge fan of the movie, I watch it every Christmas, and literally, as he did each character’s voice and delivered the dialogues, I could picture every single scene in my head, Simply wow 🤩!! Can’t wait to see another show like this featuring another famous movie! 🙌🏼
Outstanding performance! Duran's rendition of Home Alone had me laughing the whole way through. He brought the characters to life with real creativity and energy, and the timing of his expressions and little details made the show! Well done and I look forward to your next movie adaptations.
Excellent adaptation. Great energy, somehow the facial expressions nail each character. I love the little "pauses" and moments he breaks the 4th wall, they are brilliant. I know this is nit picking but adding some actual sound effects could add to the show but he does an amazing job doing them with his mouth as well. So much fun would recommend to anyone attending the festival.

Some fringe shows are enjoyable. Others completely rearrange your sense of what one person can pull off on an empty stage with nothing but their own body and voice. This year's solo adaptation of Home Alone at the Vancouver Fringe Festival was such a fun ride. From the moment the lights came up to the applause that closed the show, this was one of the funniest, most inventive pieces of theatre I've seen in years.

Great energy, good pacing, very funny asides. Really liked this one. Whether you love the movie or if you’ve never seen it, you’ll enjoy this. Short but sweet, and lots of fun.
Absolutely brilliant. While you definitely don't have to have seen Home Alone to appreciate the comedy genius of Duran, there is an added element of hilarity when you are familiar with the movie. Duran does an incredible job of capturing so many details of the movie in such as short amount of time. His characterization of the various cast members is perfection. 35mins of non-stop laughs. I would absolutely see this again and would love to see anything else he puts on.
One Man Home Alone is a feat of physical-comedy genius. I was in stitches from beginning to end! Even if you’re unfamiliar with this holiday classic, you’ll be brought to tears by Duran’s incredibly expressive facial features, witty sidebar comments, and all the hilarious slapstick shenanigans.
I saw this show back in December and was thrilled to hear it would be part of the Fringe. I’m seriously considering going for a third watch!

This is one of the greatest things you will see on a stage. You don't need a big production, you don't need effects, you don't need musicians. You need Duran, on his own, reenacting a movie that most of the planet has a meaningful and loving connection to. It is hysterical and innovative. I was laughing at all the jokes. I was laughing between the jokes just thinking about the concept. As I tell my students, you should try to experience raw talent wherever you can get it. Here it is, and it's entertaining AF!
Have seen this twice now & YES, I would see it again! Duran is very creative & funny as hell. Everyone, go see it!

Duran’s adaptation hits the bullseye. All iconic scenes from the original, are covered. It’s fast paced, action packed, non stop funny and the best 35 minutes of entertainment - hands down.

Very energetic. Very funny, and nostalgic. I love all the 4th wall breaking. This show is like sharing inside jokes about a movie with an old friend.
This is an amazing show! I love how each character was recognizable even though they all were done by the one actor. I also loved the very real “social commentary” Duran did in certain places in the show….said what we were thinking when we watched the actual movie 😄 If you want a good laugh, you must see this show!
Deftly directed by Nicole DesLauriers, expertly performed by Duran Cruickshank, One Man Home Alone is a perfect blend of comedy, physicality and recognizable moments from the holiday film. It is obvious performer, Duran Cruickshank, has seen the film so many times, he can capture the cadence, expressions and vocal quirks of each of the characters without resorting to simple impressions. The heart of the film still lives accompanied by some clever nods to the film’s age and social worldview. The perfect length, this show zips by but still satisfies. Cruikshank is not afraid to blend himself into the characters and uses his own physical specificity to bring everything to life. This show was a joy to watch, a communal experience where the audience gets to fill in the blanks with their own connections to the film. See this one for sure. Maybe even see it again.
This show has great pace!! It's a one man show you can really get into because each character is super clear and the transitions are interesting all the way through. See it especially for the booby traps... It's a quick little piece of entertainment that is perfect as part of a fun night out. 😊 Loved it.
What a wonderful surprise! This show had us completely entertained from start to finish - hilarious, but also unexpectedly full of heart. Duran Cruickshank's talent shines through in every character. Watching him create so many personalities was a joy and showcased his incredible acting skills. Cannot recommend enough!

Was recommended to see this show by a friend who saw it previously. Brought my kids (8+11) and they LOVED IT! Duran's energy brought +30 characters to life and we had tons of laughs! Can't wait to see what's in store for his next one man show. Would highly recommend to Home Alone lovers of all ages!
