outside these walls, everyone is sleeping

Enter into the mind and space of Dreamer, a young woman suffering from insomnia. Over the course of several sleepless nights, her waking state becomes a surreal landscape, ebbing and flowing with the pull of the Moon. As memory and self-reckoning collide, sleep no longer feels like respite.

See It Again

There is so much that can be interpreted from this show, I wish I had seen it more than once.

It is a stunningly choreographed and blocked show. Every movement is intentional, every look is meaningful. It’s the kind of show you can take your eyes off of just in case you miss something.

Victoria Matchett was captivating on stage. Her emotional control was truly so impressive, and I felt myself get caught up in every moment with her. I was also absolutely mesmerized by Gaia Micciancio on stage. Her performance was very intense, and even when she was sitting still, I felt there was something to look for. You could feel the way that the Shadow (Micciancio) haunted the Dreamer (Matchett), and both actresses played that dynamic perfectly.

Nora Jane Montana is a powerhouse as the Moon, and her warmth and comforting presence completely changed the tone of the show. Despite her short time on stage, she truly left her mark with the entire audience; everyone sat forward when she began singing, and you got the sense of being pulled into the dream itself from the bedroom.

Overall, this was a beautiful show, and the open-ended interpretation made it all the more compelling. With the lack of dialogue, I swear you could’ve heard a pin drop in the audience at times, especially with the intensity of Micciancio’s scenes. I cannot recommend attending this enough, even if it’s now over. Fantastic job to all of the performers!

insanely beautiful and intimate in so many ways!!!! the team did an amazing job of utilizing every part of the space and creating an immersive yet simple atmosphere, especially with the sound design. i do wish that through its 75 min runtime, more dynamic (and maybe more uncomfortable) themes were explored as the patient and ambient space that is created feels stagnant and unfazed as new elements are introduced ->> though this emulates the feeling of insomnia very well, there are points that i feel like im just 'watching' rather than fully immersed in the small room. so happy i got to catch this one, not a fan of the review that says "should be billed as a dance?" labels are so stupid! and this is such a strong contemporary theatre piece that i hope to see grows legs and see how much more immersive it can get in a higher budget space:)

What a beautiful show! Hazy and dreamy... This piece was deliberate and surrealist. The clever use of the set was almost magical, as props were revealed and suspended. Definitely worth the watch.

See It Again

It was beautifully done. Even if movement pieces or abstract theatre aren’t your thing, it’s worth experiencing with an open mind. It’s intentionally slow, reflecting the repetitive nature of depression, and I thought it portrayed that cycle with great sensitivity. It won’t be for everyone, but I really appreciated it.

See It Again

Beautiful from start to finish! Reminded me of those meditative sort of video games in which pieces of a narrative reveal itself as you interact with it.

A Never-Ending Story

the ritual in it was nifty, projections and sound were good, was too slow overall. should be billed as a dance?

See It Again

The play was told through dance & sound direction which was an interesting way to tell the story. It's hard to make something remain compelling when it happens on one minimal set but they were able to do so.

Not My Cup of Tea

Even though it was not my cup of tea, I enjoyed the performance and the set was beautifully crafted. Victoria Matchett and Gaia Micciancio were both fantastic but Nora Jane Montana as Moon was my highlight she stole the show even though she was only in about a quarter of the show.
