Passing the Cold in Montreal
An excellent variety of mime, clown, and movement. You also get to hear some great accordion playing!
WOW! A very engaging movement piece that seamlessly blends multiple mediums into one well-paced + cohesive story. This is also quite possibly the coolest anyone has ever looked while playing the accordion.
Really cool interdisciplinary mix in this show. Strong moments of clown, sound, and movement. The movement and gesture work kept me mesmerized. I was obsessed with the absolute beautiful live sound and foley work.
A real tour de force. Five Handz is such a talented performer, and they use this show to explore a wide variety of skills, from live mixing and looping to clown to accordion--all without speaking! Passing the Cold has a really neat grungy, edgy aesthetic, but there's real, genuine heart underneath too. And then the ending is glorious and uplifting in a way I didn't expect. Absolutely worth catching.
Moving and impactful. Relateable as well as inspirational. It is beautiful what people can do with their brains
