An entirely engaging show that effortlessly engaged the audience as players. Everyone was in the Shakespeare experience: swordfighting, acting boyishly tough, dancing and playing their assigned parts. What fun!
Dana is an incredibly passionate and talented performer who has created such a clever way to involve modern audiences in the story of Romeo and Juliet. Her interaction with the audience is seamless and fun and her characterizations are specific and smart. Would highly recommend whether you are a classical text enthusiast or new to Shakespeare.
Had SUCH a fun time at this show which has something for everyone, from long-time fans of the Bard to those who have never touched his verse before. Dana obviously has such a passion for Shakespearean language and audience experience, making the show entertaining, engaging, and hilarious. I had such a great time in Nanaimo I will be bringing friends / family to see it in Victoria!
Phenomenal show! Incredibly engaging. Scripted in a way that makes the audience feel safe to interact, express themselves, and have fun. The directions were all very easy to follow. I’m looking forward to seeing more of the artist’s work!

Dana does a fantastic job of engaging the entire audience with her strong acting skills along with her contagious personality. Such a great time was had by all....... We really enjoyed the entire experience. would highly recommend this play.
Such a fun experience! Dana makes everyone so comfortable, everyone suddenly becomes so playful, and Shakespeare words truly transcend everyone. I watched the couple in front of me just fall in love again during the play! Go see this show!!!
It's not often I see audience participation done so well and thoughtfully! Dana makes it easy to opt in and out at your own pace and leisure, creating an unintimidating and fun environment for anyone to access Shakespeare!
I would love to see more of the bard's works adapted by Dana!
This show was fun for theatre newbs and fans For Dana shapes the works of Avon’s bard To give non-actors the exciting chance To speak his words—and makes it not so hard! It felt akin to English class in school Except if it did make you laugh out loud, And if you got to act the silly fool And chant lines alongside a cheering crowd! The interaction with the audience Was handled so all could participate To the full level of their comfort – hence, All could a classic play help co-create! In case you think that this review is jokey, I recommend this Shakespeare Karaoke!
In all seriousness, this was a great show. I only wish we could have gotten all the way through the play somehow--ending at the end of Act II left me wanting more!
