Snacey!
this show was awesome - I did not expect to be so moved by it, but I was! I laughed and cried so hard. Such a sweet, funny story with a strong cast. Loved the chemistry between Snacey and her mother. The performances in this show are radiant. Hope to see it again on a mainstage!
The story arc of Snacey was deep and wide (and wild!). Identity, family, community, peer pressure, bullying, violence, forgiveness, reconciliation, hope, laughter, dancing! Beautiful, and at times, aggressive lyrical work. Simple and effective staging. Cudos to the cast and crew for keeping me fully engaged for the whole angsty, excruciating and redemptive storyline. Go see Snacey!
Snacey is off to the races with an engaging story from start to finish! I absolutely loved the pacing, brilliant performances, hilarious jokes and deep vulnerability that were woven into this show. Well the tone shifts quite a lot the camping nature and utter commitment of the cast create a tremendous viewing experience and I would recommend this to all!
Fun songs, great message, super entertaining and wonderfully acted!
Snacey and her mother made me laugh and cry while the ensemble held together this magically camp forest world.
Two thumbs way up!!!
Very entertaining play, a lot of fun!
The mother was awesome, the ensemble cast was also so great.
It was refreshing to enjoy a play so effortlessly
Great energy, lots of fun, plenty of laughs, great storytelling and a wonderful ensemble cast!
Snaceys Mother was a whole other level And great writing!
Snacey takes a bit swing and it's a home RUN! I am so tired of seeing shows that's are boring or play it safe. This hilarious show Pulls no punches or should I say snake bites - hahahah
But seriously this show tackles serious issues and relatable concepts with camp, fun and heart a mile wide. Would see this again in a heart beat and hope to do exactly that
Wow! What a tour de force ensemble of talented thespians!!!!
The cast has incredible chemistry and brilliantly told a touching story about friendship, forgiveness and personal growth. I laughed at all the campy whimsy and was very moved by the heart wrenching twists and turns. If you can see it at all I would compel you to see it and bring a loved one or someone who needs a laugh or to feel seen. A special mention to the writer and director who crafted this tight and magical story
The cast was overall quite strong, and though this show is theatre for young audiences, I felt like this is truly a show the whole family and people of all ages can appreciate. Viewing childrens theatre isn't usually my thing but Snacey had me on the edge of my seat. There are heavy themes and concepts, mixed in with laughter and joy. There were moments when I was on the verge of tears, and moments when I burst out laughing. Snacey is a show I would totally see again this Fringe!
This show had me busting a gut and busting at the seams and then bursting out into tears. What a moving dynamic thoroughly engaging spectacular performance. I am never sure what to expect when it comes to theater for Young audiences, but upon further inspection this was a family show. Which is stated clearly in all the information. And I only wish I had a bigger family so I could bring them all to this monumentous event of a musical. Beautiful and touching performances all around with charming songs and a deeply relevant message that had me looking in the mirror and seeing my younger self on that stage. As someone who struggled with anger, even to this day, it was a digestible accessible way to get some much needed insight. I love this show and I will be back before the run is done. Well done to the cast and crew on the spectacular new musical!!!!!
Loved this show. Snacey tells a sweet story with real heart, and the cast is fantastic. great performances and wonderful singing all around. Highly recommend!
The stand outs were the incredible script by the incomparable Priscila Gonzalez with razor sharp wit and oodles of heart and the mother daughter duo of Vena and Snacey. Autumn Davis in particular blew me away with her powerful voice and painfully funny comedic timing.
Young and old, come one, come all to the new musical to melt your heart, SNACEY!!!
I really loved this magical show! From start to finish I was transported to the whimsical world of Snacey and her forest "friends" or not so friendly friends. The journey Snaceys nd everyone goes on is so relatable and I was deeply moved and entertained the entire way through. The passing was nothing hort of hypnotic and it is clear that a great deal of effort and finesse has gone into the crafting of this story. The animal related jokes were cleaver and the performances were so wonderful, especially the actress playing snacey, what a powerhouse with a truly beautiful voice. Wow wow wow!!!
I think it's a really important message for kids, and even adults to hear about family, friendships and dealing with complex emotions. There is some violence but it handled with humor and depth that I think is more than appropriate for what children are exposed to these days. The age suggestion of 8 and up is valid but some eager younger youngin's would really enjoy it.
I was moved to tears and laugher over and over and would recommend to anyone with a a heart or who has ever loved. 1 trillions out of 10, would see again
What an incredibly beautiful story, I was ready for it to be for kids but i realized very quickly it was actually for me, although my kids did absolutely love it too! there were so many funny momnets, great songs and stellar performances, i blinked and it was over but i was still hungry for more. I wavent cried like that or laughed like that in a long time and it really made me reflect on my own life and the relationships i am building with my kids and the ones that exists between me and my parents. but it did it in a way that didn't feel like i was being talked down to, i was being thoroughly entertained and I cant recommend this show enough for anyone who wants to get lost in an hour of beautifully funny and incredibly heart felt storytelling Bravo to the team Bravooooo!!!!!!
Snacey was a brilliantly silly and surprisingly heartfelt musical that had me laughing and then crying all while enjoying the childlike whimsy and extremely professional performances from the cast. With an impeccably tight written script by the brilliant Priscila Gonzalez then 60 minutes absolutely flew by and I was blown away by the care and professionalism that this production brought to a story that resonates with mothers daughters and with anyone who has had trouble with anger or making friends. I would recommend this to anyone with a soul or a heart, along with being extremely accessible it speaks to something inside all of us and I would go back and see it again and again and again, and I probably will.
Though this might not be a good one for the littlest theatre goers, Snacey! is a musical comedy designed like a TYA show about how anger affects our lives and how we can change for the better.

I watched Snacey today at Toronto’s Fringe festival and it was an absolute delight!! I was laughing from start to finish, the songs were incredibly catchy, and the pacing and flow of the show were spot on. Every actor was phenomenal, and their singing voices were simply divine to listen to. I especially loved how expressive the actors who played Snacey and her mom were. They cried, got angry, were ecstatic and performed it so well!
Such a fun show for the whole family and definitely one to add to your summer plans. Even with English being his second language, my boyfriend was laughing throughout and loved the music. Huge congratulations to director/writer Priscila Gonzalez and the entire team on such a fun, creative, and heartfelt production! 🐍💚
