"The Fairy Tale Monologues" is a modern musical reimagining of the classic Grimm's Fairy Tales that asks the question "why is the mother always dead, to begin with?" It questions who deserves a happy ending and who is at the center of their own story with a serial killing princess, a promiscuous witch, a prince that's more than a little wolf, a baker and his wife with a dark secret, and a little girl telling the stories with a hunger for something dark.

See It Again
Riot Productions again has a phenomenal show. I was really impressed by the production design - the set, costumes, and live music! The script is fantastic and performed exceptionally well by the cast. I loved not only the references to fairy tales but also the messages of how women are perceived by society, how we are remembered, and reclaiming our stories. I highly recommend seeing this show.
