Lover Girl

This is the most heart-touching story I have ever experienced. Tamara is a great great great storyteller and artist. Her command over the subject of 'Love' and 'relationships' as a psychologist gives so much depth to this show.

I left the show with a sense of fulfillment, smile on my face and a mark of tear over my cheek. This is the kind of show that everyone (18+) should watch, to make the world a better place to live in.

Tamara is a good storyteller. This show features stories of the creation and use of her Lover Girl superpowers of trying to make everyone feel loved. Some were funny, some were sweet, but others I found tried too hard to be forced together.

Detailed story telling through subtle lighting switches and soft, caring music welcomes the crowd into the vast mind of, Tamara Lynn Robert, writing style. Tamara re-developed this show multiple times till she found the right fit for her and her creative expression, which was clear from the bold character choices and the hilarious stories throughout the show. As you sit in the crowd, her story telling displays a reality that the audience naturally gravitates toward. Stating that we may all be people pleasers at one given time or another, but self love is the key to finding the humbleness in our modern day way of living. Instead of choosing to shy away, Lover Girl plunges into the deep end and makes you question what more you can be doing for others, yourself, and your community. A sweet show of kindness, support, and believe it or not…love. You’ll be wanting a bubble bath with a side of poutine after this show.

I was mesmerized by Tamara's amazing performance, storyteller and vulnerability. I left the theatre in tears and greatly appreciated the hugs offered afterwards.

What a beautiful show - everyone needs to watch this. She somehow manages to connect different threads of romantic love, familial love, trauma, and a commentary on those often forgotten by society with a charm that defies description.

Bring tissues - you will feel better after the tears this show will make you shed. ❤️

Lover Girl is such a beautiful story about love. And loving people who needs it (which is everyone). Tamara is a masterful storyteller. She shares her heart and it's hard not to be with her as she tells her journey.

Its happening in Edmonton Fringe - it's a must watch!

As an empath, I really loved this show. It shares something so honest about the experience of being an empath, and how this can be a gift, and also a burden. For those who are people pleasers, there will be insights and gifts from this show to, and feelings of being seen, heard, and having experiences mirrored back in healing ways. The show has a really beautiful and healing message about love, and about the journey of self love. Cathartic, heartwarming, hopeful, a brilliant and beautiful show!

A beautiful story by a talented and thoughtful performer. A lot of depth and nuance, while also making me smile.

Tamara tells us right up Front that she’s going to tell us all about love, including the messy parts and then she delivers on the promise. If you’re looking for a show with vulnerability, humor, and an opportunity to reframe how you look at love, this show is for you. The sound cues and smart lighting design elevate the masterful storytelling. I’m Hoping to watch this show again in Edmonton.
