A Kind of Electra is a gripping and electrifying theatrical experience that masterfully weaves together themes of revenge, family curses, and the weight of destiny. Rooted in Greek mythology, the story immerses its audience in a world where gods and mortals intertwine, where faith in the divine can both guide and torment, and where the legacy of family sins echoes through generations. From the opening moments, the performance draws you in with its powerful storytelling and layered characters. The play thrives on dramatic tension, building plot twist upon plot twist in a way that keeps you perched on the edge of your seat. Each revelation deepens the sense of inevitability, as though the audience itself is caught up in the ancient cycle of fate that defines the Greek tragic tradition. Revenge pulses at the heart of the show, but it is never one-dimensional, it is tangled with questions of justice, loyalty, and survival. The portrayal of royalty adds to the glory and the tragedy, reminding us of the fragile line between divine blessing and divine wrath. The gods loom large in the story, not as distant figures but as ever-present forces shaping the choices and destinies of the characters. The production doesn’t just rely on its story, the visual world is equally captivating. The costumes are a standout, rich in detail and authenticity, perfectly matching the setting and immersing the audience in a time where myth and reality blurred. Each design seemed to reflect both the impressiveness of royalty and the weight of family tragedy. Ultimately, A Kind of Electra is a breathtaking journey through myth, fate, and faith. It grips you with its twists and revelations, but what stays with you is the emotional depth and timelessness of its themes.

Multiple Neurosis is a powerful, deeply moving show that shines a light on the realities of living with Multiple Sclerosis. What makes it stand out is the honesty with which it explores the challenges, discrimination, and quiet battles that often come with a diagnosis. Rather than shying away from the difficult truths, the performance embraces them head-on, showing how MS can affect every part of life, physically, emotionally, and socially. But Multiple Neurosis is not simply a story about illness. It is a story about resilience, self-acceptance, and the courage to embrace one’s full self, even with a disability. The narrative balances raw vulnerability with moments of humor, tenderness, and hope, reminding us that even in the hardest circumstances, there can be light. What is particularly striking is how the show brings awareness to an audience that may not fully understand the daily impact of MS. Through personal storytelling, it humanizes the condition in a way that statistics never could, breaking down stigma and encouraging empathy. In the end, Multiple Neurosis is not only about MS but about the universal search for meaning, and identity in the face of adversity. It leaves you reflecting on your own life, your own limitations, and the beauty that can be found even when things do not go as planned. A truly touching and unforgettable experience.

If belting out remixed tunes and soaking up good vibes sounds like your thing, you’ve come to the right spot.

Weird Al Karaoke was a jam-packed show that delivered nothing but good vibes and laughter. The concept was as simple as it was entertaining—take well-known songs and reimagine them by swapping out the original lyrics for playful, joke-filled remixes. Each performer brought their own spin to the stage, so no two numbers felt the same, and the mix of creativity and humor kept the audience hooked from start to finish. To help everyone follow along, the remixed lyrics were projected onto a smart board, which not only made it easier to catch the clever wordplay but also encouraged the crowd to join in. This sense of shared participation gave the night a fun, carefree atmosphere. With multiple performers, endless remixes, and a room full of laughter, Weird Al Karaoke proved to be more than just a satire show, it was a celebration of silliness, music, and community. It’s the kind of event where you walk out smiling, still humming the tunes, and maybe even making up your own goofy lyrics on the way home.

Scamway was a high-energy production filled with standout performances and impressive technical skills. From the very first number, the show had a lot of different choreography, which was not only well-crafted but also perfectly in sync with both the music and the story of the play. The precision and creativity of the dance sequences kept the audience engaged and gave the production a polished, professional feel. One of the most striking elements of the show was its seamlessness. Quick costume changes, some of them happening right on stage, were pulled off effortlessly, adding to the sense of display without ever slowing down the pace. Scene transitions were equally smooth, helped by thoughtful lighting design that guided the audience’s focus and helped the story flow naturally from moment to moment. Among the cast, Julie Koebel, who played Nancy, gave a particularly memorable performance. Their powerful voice carried through the theater, and in their solos, they not only impressed with vocal strength but also conveyed deep emotion, capturing the heart of Nancy’s journey in every note. With its creative use of stage and lighting, Old Man Sallow Who Lives on Crypt Rock was an ambitious and visually stunning play that held the audience's attention. Each scene's lighting changed in sync, adding to the atmosphere and making it easier to identify the play's numerous distinct moments. Characters switched between being onstage and offstage while still contributing to the main production, allowing the performance to experiment with presence and motion. This method gave the story more depth and gave the impression that it went beyond the on-stage action. A "play within the play," a moving piece that had genuine significance for each of the characters and gave the narrative emotional influence, was at its core. Even though the actors' energy was consistent, there were times when the performance felt a little chaotic. It was occasionally difficult to follow due to overlapping narratives and transitions, and some of the pieces didn't fit together completely. Even the more confusing scenes were nevertheless amusing because of the cast's commitment and energy, which held the audience's attention. Ultimately, Old Man Sallow Who Lives on Crypt Rock was a creative, dynamic, and emotionally compelling production that thrived due to the dedication and bold risk-taking of its performers.

Giorgi of the Jungle is a heartfelt and relatable coming-of-age story that captures the struggles of a young pre-teen, Giorgi, as she begins to experience the changes that come with growing up. The play considerately portrays her journey of navigating new feelings about her body and the insecurities that surface as a result. At the show's core, it explores not just Giorgi’s challenges, but the many perspectives around her. Marcella, Giorgi’s older sister, emerges as her advocate, supporting Giorgi’s right to handle her changes in the way that feels right for her, even when it clashes with their mother’s more traditional and firm approach. This dynamic highlights the generational and personal differences in how people view growth and change, offering the audience multiple, sometimes conflicting, perspectives. Each character’s experiences with similar struggles, whether different or parallel to Giorgi's, added depth and made the story feel grounded and authentic. Every actor brought a distinct energy, sass, warmth, attitude, or vulnerability that made their character stand out and feel real. It was this mix of tones that made the story resonate, as it mirrored the real complexities of growing up and dealing with insecurities. By blending honesty with heart, the show creates a story that feels both personal and universal, reminding the audience that the struggles of growing up are never faced alone. It’s a production that lingers well after the curtain falls.
