OMG - this incredible performer, accompanied by a talented keyboard player, guitar player and amazing director(Davina Stewart)...blew my mind! Her earthy and surreal talent and story telling is incredible. Andrea House is talented, she's funny, she's heartfelt, she's poignant and OH MY GOD CAN SHE SING! The often quirky (and ADORABLE) story telling lifted my spirt, made me weep and relate to feelings of family, loving, longing and loss. Andrea House is an incredibly talented performer. Go see this beautiful show, your soul and heart will thank you.
WOW! A haunting, exhilarating and historically accurate telling of a true icon. Vampira was a legend, an original one of a kind. Her influence, style and essence has influenced generations - in all art forms. This was a deserved homage to a true one-of-a-kind icon. This masterful story telling performance was clever, entertaining and poignant. Any "influencer" worth their salt should know who this incredible human was and understand the force of their impact on present day pop culture. Entertain and educate yourself. Darrin Hagan has given us a comedy that is clever, funny, and outrageously over the top entertaining! This historically accurate tale preserves the story of true icons through comedic story telling. The details and specifics of these lives are masterfully brought to the stage with incredible dialogue and sheer talent. The performers are funny and brilliant. Beyond the GREAT hair, amazingly stylish outfits, sassy eyewear, (AND SPARKLES) clever dialogue and laughs is a commentary that everyone can relate to. Once again, we have been given a very well written script that on the surface easily makes you laugh out loud, but the layer underneath is so much more. It's a narrative on the expectations and experiences of romance and relationships through genre's, viewpoints and generations. A very thought provoking and introspective gift to conversations when you leave the theatre. These performers have MASTERED the art of 'looking', to the supreme! They effortlessly make a couple hundred people laugh in an instant without saying a word. Incredible talent, treat yourself and see this show!
A celebration of ALL women in beautiful movement, music and costumes, all very cleverly stitched together a with well written story that is funny, open and honest. Deliciously quippy! Awesome performances and a great time!
