Ten-tickles My Fancy

There's a certain rawness to this show that makes it endearing. And I love it when the artists display how much they like what they're doing. Their joy for their work is infectious. A retelling of one of Shakespeare's greatest hits, the show is a good mix of storytelling and music, activism and whimsy. Give this show a chance and have an enjoyable 45 minutes.

Mind Blown

Fear Fables was one of my favourite shows at last year's Fringe, so I was so excited that there's a new set of stories this year. And it did not disappoint. This horror girlie is so fed! Amazing artist lineup, and I'm in awe with the amount of love and effort they put into their craft. Drag is art, and these drag monarchs are artists!

Three more shows for them at the Edmonton Fringe. Grab a ticket now if you haven't already.

From what I've read and heard, it seems that people had mixed feelings about this show. As for me, I liked it. It's a musical, and I love musicals. The cast are great singers, and the songs sounded lovely. The mic issues was a bit distracting though, and it seems to be a persistent issue. Storyline-wise, some people might get confused with how we go back and forth the realities of war and the escape to fantasy. Still a solid show.
