I was disappointed by this one. I think the jokes were funny and clever, and the presenter did a good job of adding moments of lightheartedness when the material got too dark. The inclusion of songs and mentions of pop culture and other events in history enhanced the show. I learned about cults that I had never heard of before, however the fact that the information was presented as a lecture took away from the experience in my opinion. The information was also read very fast which made it hard to understand, and difficult to process because too much was being thrown at the audience. I think if the information had been presented in a different way it could have improved the overall experience.
As a Taskmaster fan I would recommend watching this one. I think they captured the essence of the show and made a great show. The tasks and the participants were hilarious. I thoroughly enjoyed, and so did the friends I went with. I will not only recommend it but would watch again!!
Such a wonderful show! A week later, I am still talking about it with friends and singing some of the songs. The show was not only very funny and clever, but also quite important. Lita addresses experiences that impact half the population, sharing her personal encounters with misogyny within the medical system, as well as how this same misogyny influences research and treatment related to periods and endometriosis—an area that’s still grossly underdeveloped to the detriment of thousands (probably a lot more) of people. The use of the projector and the music enhanced the overall experience. I was truly impressed by the creativity involved in the projection work. 10/10, I would highly recommend it.
Absolutely hilarious and highly relatable for people with ADHD. Kristen managed to talk about many of the experiences I had as a child and as an adult growing up undiagnosed—things that were difficult to explain but she captured in a way that was not only poignant but also very funny. The use of journals, pictures, voiceovers, and on-screen assessments was both clever and fitting, making the overall act even better and adding to the laughs. The friends I was with that did not have ADHD enjoyed the show a lot as well. I would definitely recommend it!
