There are few stand-up comedians who are really good at it and I’m not sure the Fringe is the best venue for it.

I kinda hated the first half of his routine, not because he offended me, but more because he wasn’t particularly funny. And I hate when comics blame the audience for them not getting the laughs they feel they deserve.

And why, oh why, do they consistently rely of gay jokes to get laughs. Come on! It’s 2026! Let’s come up with something new.

That being said, the show became stronger as it went along and he became more political. Took on the crisis in Gaza head on while still finding the humour in it, directed appropriately at those standing by.

So at the end of the show, I was fine with it. Not overly excited but it was a decent way to spend an hour on a Saturday night with friends.
