What a way to start my Fringe Festival!

Ask Me How I’m Feeling show was unbelievable and one thing that everyone should know which differ from show’s write-up is that there are actually five dancers on the floor, and I think that makes a real difference to the piece. The additional dancers add a perfect layer to the composition and storytelling that I found really compelling. Please one of those two additional dancers, who isn’t featured on the poster, was actually my favourite of the five. Her technical ability was seriously impressive, and there were moments when I found myself watching her simply because of the precision, strength and control in her movement.

The choreography isn’t necessarily technically flawless throughout, but that didn’t take away from what worked so well for me. The composition, visual storytelling, the adding elements and way the dancers carried the story through movement were beautiful and engaging. I found myself feeling the story rather than simply watching a series of dance pieces.

Honestly, this was the perfect show to open my Fringe season, and now I am sitting here looking at the Fringe booklet I collected yesterday… and somehow getting more and more excited about the fact that I still have NINE other shows to discover.
