a love letter to female friendships as they grow and evolve as well as to theatre itself. a brilliant use of the car, giving audiences a front row seat, literally, to the inflection point in a long-standing friendship. the intimacy of friendship showcased beautifully by Natalie Gifford's script and Jennifer Beveridge and Ina Wang's performances, so lived in it's hard to believe they aren't actually childhood best friends. their secret handshake is so automatic, you want to believe it's true. a play that captures the essence of what fringe is about: daring to take a big swing, and a reminder to us all it just might pay off. it certainly does here.
