While this show had a lot of promise in the end I feel like it failed to live up to its potential. First and foremost. It was marketed as a 60 minute show and came in at around 30 minutes. Which could have been forgiven if it has been amazing. I feel like the show pulled back on a lot of the religion instead of digging in which I think is where the big miss came in for me. When you start if with a premise that one of the characters receives vision from God I feel like you should lean in to that idea. Dig deep for the jokes. Don't be afraid to make fun of religion as a whole. Now, I will give it this, when it wanted to be funny, it was! And the chemistry of the actors was undeniable. I truly hope that these creators go back to the drawing board, punch it up a bit and being it back around. I would love to see it evolve into something great.
