Such a fun show! The acting was great, and the costumes looked amazing. The story kept moving at a good pace, with lots of funny moments sprinkled in. I thought I might have trouble following once they started speaking, but every actor was super clear and projected really well—you could catch every word.

Set in a whirlwind of misunderstandings, the show introduces a quirky new dance craze (yes, the Boston Dip itself!) and a parade of dubious suitors vying for the affections of the Mulligrub daughters. The result? A riotous cascade of hilarity that keeps the audience grinning from start to finish. The cast delivers with flair, bringing their characters to life with sharp timing and infectious energy. Their performances not only spark laughter but also maintain a delightful rhythm that never lets the momentum falter. For anyone navigating the Fringe scene, The Boston Dip is a must-see. It’s clever, chaotic, and completely captivating.

What a phenomenal performance by all! A hidden commentary of the rich as ignorant to culture and how artists must navigate that fact to still practice their art. Also, the many who would approach a rich family with such mercenary motives. Truly a work of art! The parking was difficult but I'm not removing a star for it. We were almost sold out so it proves the old adage- if you build it, they will come...but probably walk a long way from their car.

This was a fun show! Cast was great and had excellent chemistry, the costumes were fabulous (easily the best I've seen so far), dialogue was snappy and on-point, reflecting the period-piece nature of the show. Another review here described this show a a "screwball farce", and I have to agree. Mistaken identities abound in this one, and I was chuckling the entire time.

I'm rating this 4 stars rather then 5 because of some significant issues with the lighting cues during the performance I attended - they were definitely noticeable, and at one point one of the techs had to run across the front row of the audience to the main light switches on the side of the room to get the house lights back where they needed to be. If this wasn't the case, definitely a 5 star show for me, but the lighting issues did take me out of the narrative.

I'm still recommending this one, though, as the show itself is well done, just hopefully it fixes the issues with the lighting.

Fast moving and wildly entertaining farce. Great casting with all strong characters and excellent comic timing throughout . Good costumes. Well worth seeing. Upbeat feel-good ending so you leave happy. Director did excellent job of rewriting very old play.

An amazing play that's well worth seeing. It's a fun comedy, with lots of action, twists and turns. The period costumes and staging are perfect. Well written and staged. We were riveted to our seats throughout. The acting was tremendous, with every actor suited to their part.

We just saw Boston Dip at Fringe and had an absolute blast. This show is comedy at its finest: fast, clever, and packed with antics that had us laughing all the way through.

The cast lit up the stage with sharp, playful performances that pull you straight into the chaos each character brings.The characters are endearing, playfully quick-witted, and impossibly sweet. It is the kind of show that works for everyone. Bring the family, bring a date, but do not go alone.

The humor is witty, wonderfully absurd, and completely irresistible.

John Anderson’s, Boston Dip is a comedic story following the Mulligrub family as they encounter scandal, suitors, and the search for a new talent. The production begins in the dimly lit drawing room as sisters Ida and Ava, played by Melissa Masse and Lauren Tamke, enter the room. Their hilarious banter illuminated the stage alongside their longing suitors.

The stage is a simple but vintage display of the family drawing room filled with tons of hiding places for Moses Mulligrub, played by Dave McKay. The actors had amazing chemistry whether it meant family friends, a loving married couple, or two teasing sisters. The blind lavender kids, Ethan Handford shared an outstanding character to match with the other actors on stage. His unique stutter brought hilarious misunderstandings as he stumbled across the stage. The interesting array of characters brought the stage to life and made the production a comical feature to the fringe festival.

It was a really fun show. Great cast very well prepared. Great costumes, the characters and their antics kept you laughing and anticipating the next part of the show. If you looking for some light hearted fun and laughter this is a show you should check out.
