I knew this was a shorter play going in, and I wish it had been fleshed out a little more - I was enjoying the ride until it suddenly stopped.
Watching the detective go off the rails as everything around him fell apart was hilarious, I would have enjoyed some more character development of the other players, as well.
This show was good, just not great, and I left wanting more.
This was my third time having the honour to listen to God, and as usual, I was in stitches the entire show. There were some off the cuff remarks, which were just as hilarious as the planned bits - which threw shade at everything from... well, I won't spoil what God was ranting about in relation to the dumpster fire that 2026 was, is, and continues to be.
Easily my favourite Fringe tradition, I eagerly await next year's installment!
The set up to the show is almost as good as the show itself, and Diane is seriously talented! One of the most unique concepts for improv I've seen, and the fact that she performs all the characters (the subtle costume changes are hilarious) is insane. I was laughing fron start to finish, go see this show!
As a front line worker during the pandemic (and as one now), so much of this show was relatable. Loved that this was set in a tea shop!
The performers were fantastic, and had probably the best banter I've seen in a show this year. This show was under my radar most of the week, and I'm glad I impulsively bought a ticket.
Hilarious hour of storytelling! So many funny moments, both planned and not so planned (he will play off reaction from the audience!). This show was recommended by a patron I sold tickets to another show at the box office, so wherever she is now, thank you for this recommendation!
There are apparently two more installments of this planned further down the line, and I will absolutely be seeing them when they are shown at Fringe
Incredible storytelling! And a nice change of pace from my usual comedic fare.
I'm not usually a fan of stories that jump back and forth in time (usually because of pacing issues), but my worries quickly went out the window here, the transitions made it very clear where in the story we were.
I'm so glad this was in a larger theatre, because the set was incredible, and more people need to come see this!
Having not seen the first installment of Grant Canyon, I wasn't entirely sure what I was getting into with this one at first, but oh my god, what a fabulous ride this turned out to be!
It was so funny, the pacing was great, and the sound effects and lighting absolutely absolutely made the show.
This was one of the best one person shows I've seen at the Fringe, and I hope it's not another years long wait for another episode of Grant Canyon!
I saw Jimmy's solo show last year and loved it, so when I saw he was returning, I had to get a ticket to this year's. His humour and pace of storytelling are right up my alley, and he plays off the audience brilliantly. I hope he returns next year, I will absolutely be going again!
Unapologetic, unafraid, and unforgiving - these women are bold, and not afraid to get in your face about it. What started out as humorous had, by the end, turned into something much more reflective - realising that either yourself, or literally every woman in your life has gone through at least one experience portrayed on that stage. Go see this!
An Improvised murder mystery set at Fort Edmonton Park - show included death by drowning in nacho cheese, Estonian troll sleeper agents, a broken flip flop used as a murder weapon (my suggestion!), Churner McDavid, and a sing-a-long to "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)"
I don't see much improv, but I absolutely died laughing at this. I sadly don't have a chance to catch this again this fringe, but I will 100% be seeing it then next time I can. Highly recommend this show!
