Canon Fire

The bit is they randomly take a title of another show and make a musical out of that. But the audience member picked their show title. So we got a show of a pirate circus troop sailing the ship they won in a bet to find an audience, of us, the monkeys. And the whole thing was a love story complete with multiple marriages. This was both extremely dumb and extremely fun.

Hilarious! This one-of-a-kind improv musical brings the audience into an immersive world of music and creativity. The specific show I saw was a wonderful western with a big personality cow, a crazy heist and gangs at war. All the music and dancing was so spot on it was hard to believe it was improvised, and all the players had fantastic characters that were easy to connect to. Canon Fire is a can't-miss, I wish I could've seen it again.

This show is SUCH A BLAST. Absolutely my favourite show at the Fringe this year. It's an ensemble of incredible musicians and actors, and every show is completely different. I laughed so hard all the way through, while also trying to figure out how they come up with stuff on the spot so quickly! SEE IT!

A high energy improv group with a tight band. The music was very natural. Humor throughout even when the players were “not on the same page”. Those transitions were funny instead of awkward.

Fantastic hilariously funny show. The talent the players bring to this production is amazing. Taking an idea from an audience member and turning it into an entertaining comedic musical on the fly is truly a mind boggling talent. Don't miss this show!!!

Even if you are not into musicals, you can’t deny the impressiveness of improvising a story and coming up with a song on the spot. Delightful to watch them work their magic. A feel good show with nods to the tropes you’d expect from musical theatre while providing a fresh, quirky and funny story.

A really fun and unique experience. If you like improv or musicals, this is definitely a must see show. The way the cast can take a single suggestion and create an interesting story, come up with fun songs, and hit all the high notes is insanely impressive. And since no two shows will ever be the same, you can see it multiple times and there will always be brand new material!
