Absolutely the best way to end out Halifax Fringe season, and certainly no wonder why it won Fringiest Fringe Show! Leah is absolutely brilliantly cast - her facial expressions were EVERYTHING.

This show was the perfect way to end Fringe for me. Around and About Theatre Co. have truly done it again, this year with a show that was sweet, hilarious, and surprising in all the right ways. Leah Pritchard is a comedic genius and brought Craig to life in a fully embodied way.
I loved the idea of a different God every night (a very omniscient decision, if you ask me), and truly wished I could have seen all of them in a very Gotta God Them All kinda deal. Dan Hendricken was our God and did a fantastic job of bringing the judgement.

First fringe show we saw and it was definitely our favourite that we saw. It was funny, cute and a good time. We really enjoyed it and cannot recommend it enough!
This show is what I love about fringe, and about Jessie Walkers writing. The idea of having a new actor playing God every night makes each performance unique. I saw it twice and was laughing at each joke and the different ways they were delivered when a new actor was God. Because of this I highly recommend catching this show multiple times to get the full experience.
Amazing physicality, great expressions, awesome creativity and silly little times. God's dialogue is fun and entertaining!
Essentially a monologue for God offstage (who is a different performer each show), Leah Pritchard was left on stage all alone to simply react. The writing for God was good for sure, but a whole show of non-verbal reactions rest entirely on the performer - and Leah's performance did not disappoint in any way. Simply amazing!
I love a Jessie Walker fringe show! And I love a Leah Pritchard performance! And I love the idea of a different God every night! I got to see THE Kat McCormack which was most stellar, but I can imagine it being wonderful with each of the gods in the lineup! Short, funny, silly, and colour coordinated, this is one to check out for sure!
A charming script and a clever concept, bolstered by a masterclass in clowning led by Leah Pritchard. Short and sweet - the perfect fringe bite! It wouldn’t be the Halifax Fringe without another new, cheeky, silly Jessie Walker comedy.
A lot of us can be more like Craig - giving their all, lip syncing with a feather boa and sunglasses, and sassily saying “…Tequila”. WOW!
I am in absolute awe at the physical comedy within this show. I love that someone different plays God every performance, and it would be interesting to see how each person interprets the character and the differences they bring to the performance. I definitely left the theatre smiling.
I started the second day of the Halifax Fringe Festival at The Bus Stop Theatre seeing Jessie Walker’s new play Craig in Conversation With God starring Leah Pritchard as Craig and Jeremy Webb as God. Leah Pritchard will be playing Craig in all subsequent performances of the play, but the role of God is being played by a different Halifamous person (and one Emerging Halifamous person) for each performance, so they are all different- collect all six!
Craig is a green dinosaur who loves to eat flowers. One day God takes great pains to get his attention because he has been thinking of destroying the Earth via a meteor and he’d like to put Craig through a few paces to see if he can make a case for why the Earth should be spared. What is immediately interesting about this, really one way conversation, as Craig doesn’t really speak, is that God knows everything that is going to happen in the entire history of Earth, and poor Craig only knows his own little reality, living in a beautiful, natural, bountiful place, where he mostly just eats, does his business, plays a little music, does a little play-doh art, and finds someone to mate with. We learn that there is nothing inherently wrong with Craig or with the Earth that Craig knows, but God is hoping to prevent great tragedies that are to come by washing his hands of the Earth now. Fantastic bit of physicality from Leah Pritchard, one of our funniest, and sharp, insightful writing from Jessie Walker as always. I feel bad for anyone whose god is not Kat McCormack (in life or during the rest of this run).

I predict another Fringe favorite from Around + Out Theatre! Craig the dinosaur is trying so hard to please a God we (the audience) love to hate. I wish I could see it with EACH of the guest artists voicing God! This show is funny with super physical comedy, a splash of darkness and a twist ending.
A show that successfully packs an incredible amount of witty comedy, great music, physical performance, and real worldly analysis into ~30 minutes. The choice to have a different guest play God every performance is very creative and means you never know exactly what to expect.
A goofy, almost-family-friendly almost-mime show with physical comedy and god's commentary of the value of planet Earth. It's fun! Made us laugh.
Brilliant, quirky and cute. The show with many surprises including God played by specials guests (tonight was Jeremy Webb). Definitely add this to your list. Well-done everyone!!
