Heathers The Musical: Teen Edition was an enjoyable nod to the original Heathers story/lore. I took my sister with me and we both really enjoyed the show and felt it was nostalgic to the story we knew as teenagers growing up.

This group of young performers is bursting at the seams with talent that we undoubtedly experience again in the future of Edmonton's theatre and art scene. No relying on set pieces and props, using pretty much only handheld items and lighting, it was up to those on stage to set the scene and transport the audience into their world, and they did not disappoint. We loved the gender bending and can adaptability of the cast in taking on additional roles. Overall, a huge showcase of talent for this group. They should be very, very proud of the work on this project.

A special mention for Heather in red and Veronica, lots of lines, lots of songs. Didn't miss a beat. Incredible job. Finger snaps!

Heathers the Musical: Teen Edition By Augustus Williams

It’s always a treat to get to see young performers on stage, and Heathers the Musical: Teen Edition was no different. This show was fun and energetic, and performed entirely by high school aged actors. The opportunities for young artists in Edmonton are incredible, and it’s amazing to get to see so many of them at the Fringe. The ability to put up a production of that scale is very admirable to see from young people, and showcases a commitment to the theatre that is exactly the kind of thing the arts community loves to foster. Heathers was a very fun performance to see, and inspires hope about the future of theatre in Edmonton.
