A true story of Wendy Martin's adventures hitchhiking across the East Coast of Canada and all the way to Paisley Park, the home of musician Prince, in Minnesota. Somewhere between the familiar and the unknown, I traveled highways, back roads, and ditches, relying on the kindness of strangers and the uncertainty of the next ride. In the rearview mirrors of passing cars, I caught glimpses not only of where I'd been, but of the person I was discovering.This is a story of adventure, freedom, resilience, and finding kindness on the open road.
