Not My Cup of Tea

For me it was hard to hear the stage performers with all of the laughing and clapping goingon around me. Missed most of all of it Sad. I was hoping it would be better.

I’ve seen this group multiple times, and every single time it gets better and better! If you’re not laughing, your jaw is on the floor from their incredible voices. The fact that they’re harmonizing on the spot makes it even more impressive! Such a talented group of people. You’re in for a fun hour, so go watch this show!!!

Truly blown away. They can make you laugh, they can sing, AND it's all improvised?! WHAT?! They made all that up on the spot?! Went in expecting to laugh, left with a 6-pack from laughing so hard. If you want to feel completely inadequate about your own talents, GO SEE THIS SHOW!

Taking a single word suggestion from the audience, the ensemble instantly created an entertaining improvised musical. The performers are talented improvisers, singers, and dancers and it is a joy to see them play on stage. You can see the rough scaffolding that the production hangs off of, but the cast isn’t afraid to break the rules and pursue directions that pay off. Not every sketch hits, but you’ll be amazed how many do and how often a moving song materializes out of the chaos. Highly recommended.

Laughed So Hard I Cried

The cast in MIRV-ish were brilliantly funny. Whether through dry wit or awkward dance moves, I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. The audience chose the topic of Toronto bike lanes. The cast then sang and danced their way through all the pros and cons of every stereotype. I highly recommend this show.

Improv is hard enough; adding musical numbers? But this cast clears the high bar(s). They've "improved" since I last saw their monthly show (maybe Ashley Botting's coaching?). The show I saw had Burning Man, "generic men", & tree porn. Fun!

Laughed So Hard I Cried

What an amazing show! The most perfect prompt to ask the audience made for a little piece of genius musical which they made up on the spot. Incredible and hilarious.

This is a tight group of performers. The music director is an all star, and I am beyond impressed by every single performer.

Every show is different and I CANNOT wait to go again. GO see MIRV-ish.

See It Again

I saw Mirv-"ish", an improvised musical, and I am continually amazed that people can make up an entire musical on the spot and somehow make it look easy.

The cast was fantastic across the board. The gentleman playing Michael was beautifully awkward, and I genuinely can't tell if that's just who he is as a person or an Oscar-worthy performance. Honestly, I don't want to know, I choose to believe the mystery is part of the magic.

Then there was "Generic Man," who had some absolutely impeccable unintentional comedic timing. Whether it was planned or happy accidents, every awkward beat landed perfectly and had the audience in stitches.

The ladies were equally wonderful, with some seriously impressive vocals that elevated the entire show. But my standout had to be little sister Bernice, played by someone I can only assume escaped from clown school with top honours. Every entrance, every reaction, every moment was comedy gold, and I couldn't take my eyes off her.

The combination of quick wit, catchy songs, and performers who commit 110% to whatever ridiculous direction the show takes makes this an absolute blast. Since it's improvised, you'll never see the same show twice, which is a pretty great excuse to keep coming back.

10/10. Would absolutely see again... and again... and probably again after that.

Ten-tickles My Fancy

Went to this show last night and it was fantastic. Going off the audience suggestion elicited a hilarious story with plenty of great songs. One of my favourites was a song about being alone on a toilet as the rest of the cast harmonized in the background while peeing in urinals. Such great moments from the show, like a performer getting stuck in a chair which had the audience howling. It’s always such a feat to create a musical movie that comes together as a complete story but they pulled it off. Also, the lighting was phenomenal. It felt like such a production.

Definitely recommend!
