This show is really about how women have been portrayed both classically and in more modern cinema. Sadly, not much has changed.
I found the show got better as it went along. I think it might have done well with some editing and some of the scenes were a bit out of touch with the general tone of the play (almost slapstick in the midst of serious moments).
I enjoyed the incorporation of Shakespearean quotes within the text, which were well thought out.
I think this is a really good show. It was a little bit shakespeare a little bit Linda Hamilton and a little bit Terminator.
The writing was engaging and I was kept entertained all the way through!
This is a great show to see if you love shakespeare and terminator!
I wasn’t entirely sure what this was going to be going in….and I was honestly disappointed. Mostly because this could have been something really cool, but instead felt like a strange mashup of Shakespeare references and a dramatic reading of Linda Hamilton’s IMDb page. The writing was fairly good, but it was a bit over-acted and too hard to follow.
This one wasn't quite what I expected. It takes a unique approach, weaving together Linda Hamilton's career, Shakespeare, and the lack of female roles in his works.
I guess I should have read the synopsis better, I was hoping for more terminator 😊. Fans of Shakespeare will enjoy this.
"Life hands us roles, and we play them." Lindsay Smith-Munoz's 'Shakespeare's Judgment Day' presents a woman who has always longed to be on stage performing Shakespeare. Instead, her life on the stage moves to the screen when she plays the famous role of Sarah Connor, portrayed by Liz Johannson, in 'Terminator'.
Personally, this show wasn't my cup of tea, but that's not to say it wasn't well done. The body movement and projection allowed the story to be portrayed successfully. Something impressive to note is the flow between modern and Shakespearean language. The actors clearly rehearsed a lot, making the switches look effortless.
The few cameos within the production were done well and added fun lighthearted moments. Overall, the acting, use of costumes, and use of sound complemented the story well.
