Really enjoyed this. Incredibly funny, bizarre and touching. I found it very relatable as a nonbinary, raised-catholic, white guilt ridden person. Felt extremely called out AND see by a lot of parts. I’m only deducting half a star cuz, oh baby, you gotta put an ED trigger warning somewhere for this show. Still 100% endorse seeing it! You will have a good time, Tony is very funny and very real. There were equal parts cackling and crying outta me!

Incredible throughout very thought provoking and relatable I liked the look at masculinity and gender! Very insane and stunning. This is absolutely unmatched the highs are very high and the lows are low it is an emotional rollercoaster

This show is a ball of chaos with one of the most talented Fringe actors I’ve seen so far at the center. The play masterfully walks the line between comedy and tragedy, which is my favourite kind of art.

What a marathon of a performance! Big physical choices, but also such detailed facial expressions.

Nothing felt extraneous or too long. I could not predict how we would reach the end; this work is doing original and creative work with masculinity. The hot dog scene redux almost made me cry. Dad script part 4 got me there. Every funny bit had an edge of hurt without feeling cloying or unearned. Even as I was being shocked, I could follow the thread of where the show was going and this mosaic of scenes still felt woven together, which is quite the feat.

I want to watch this artist perform again and again. Even if you’re not necessarily buying into the premise, you cannot deny that this artist is IT. I would watch this again in a heartbeat.

Through invigorating physical comedy and perfectly vulgar scripts, Tony creates a bizarre tapestry of all things “masculine”. From downing hot dogs like a glizzy-gobbling machine to doing a frightening number of burpees, Tony and their dedication will leave you awestruck and possibly sick to the stomach. Be prepared for audience interaction, dirty jokes, and a sledgehammer of honest deconstruction as Tony guides you through the intricacies of masculinity.

Despite the previous paragraph, this show is nearly impossible to describe. The emotions conjured within the theater and the absurdity of the show’s contents do not translate to simple, concise descriptions. Tony’s profound, metaphorical approach to performance seems completely unique to tony wrestles a stranger and can only be brought justice through physical, face-to-face consumption. You will never be certain of Tony’s next tangent or stunt, a lack of predictability that adds to the viewing experience. Every aspect of this production is obvious in its thoughtful selection and serves the ultimate themes of the show.

If you’re looking to be exhausted by laughter with a pinch of heartfelt honesty, tony wrestles a stranger will satisfy your desire tenfold. As stated previously, my description does not do this show justice; see it for yourself and witness this perfectly ridiculous show!
