Steven is such a farming and charming person that this story felt effortless to sit through and was full of gems for Canadians, fans of Japanese culture and others as well.

Whitehead lives in this character in such an authentic fashion that I found myself becoming legitimately sad thinking about how I’ve failed the North Star, and how humans have failed them. This revelation would be nowhere near as impactful if this show was not so comedically constructed around the central idea and so well performed. Well done.

Take a chance on this shadow puppet show and you will find yourself immersed in the oceans depths among the creatures and biology. Theres lots of subtle but accurate portrayals of some of my favourite marine life, along with some semi-abstract representations of hard concepts that work really well in this format. Lovely stuff!

I’m so excited to see this work get more development. It’s built on strong ideas, satirizing concepts that are extremely present today and worth breaking down, and the puppets are most definitely worth putting more budget into (as in - they already look fantastic, so I’d love to see it built up even further!)

Wolf uses so many standard comedic practices here that this dramatic storyline feels much more like a comedy, that is until it hits you right in the feels at the end. It’s a strong story, told by an even stronger storyteller.

The biggest drawback of this show is that it does not have the runtime to explore its concepts more. The biggest fun of the show is the wacky jokes and absurd bodyswapping plot - even more absurd (and way better) than the racist setup of the original “Freaky Friday”. Let me tell you if my mom did what this mom did in my body that would probably deteriorate our relationship not make it better, but thats all just part of the fun of the show!

Not only is this show filled with hilarious ape references and jokes (my absolute favourite is the small background detail that apes use bananas as a form of smelling salts), but this show also has high philosophical concepts that struggle with art and the process of creation that can be relatable to a great many - not just a great ape. Must see!

Morgan’s ability to weave casual conversation with lyrical poetry is second to none. His style of storytelling is both incredibly interesting in its choice of subject matter and a wonderful auditory experience.

I must implore any and all to watch a show with an attempt at animation - but this shows message also holds weight and worth in the world it imagines. Simple maybe - but charming

Cute, clever, and full of heart - Hannaford always hits hard with the scripts and this time hits hard in performance too!
