After seeing Epidermis Circus a few years ago, I was really eager to catch this new show, and it did not disappoint! So inventive, so funny, and incredibly polished. It’s such a creative and well-executed piece of theatre. A must-see if you’re able to catch it!

I didn’t really understand what the show was trying to say. It’s obviously a comedic commentary on the healthcare system, but there were only one or two jokes about funding (mostly as an explanation for why they were in a church), while the rest seemed to suggest that incompetent megalomaniacal doctors were somehow the real problem? Then it ended with a fairly earnest lecture about writing to our MLAs and advocating for more hospitals. The different messages just didn’t really connect for me, and the whole thing felt a bit incongruent.

The show is hilarious, with a special shoutout to Malicahi, who lights up every scene he’s in. I’ve seen all three installments of this Fringe series, and this was the first where I felt the singing really took a backseat to the comedy. At times, it almost seemed like the bad singing was part of the joke? Several songs referenced a certain recent green musical blockbuster and were clearly way too high for the singers. I’m sure that was the intention, but I couldn’t help thinking the joke would have landed so much better if they’d absolutely nailed the vocals while doing it. Still, a very funny show with a cast that clearly knows how to get a laugh.

I thought this had a really great premise, but unfortunately it felt a little underpolished overall. There was clearly a lot of effort from the individual acts, and some genuinely good ideas, but a bit more rehearsal and tightening would have helped everything land. The host also seemed a little underprepared at times, which made some of the transitions feel less confident than they could have been. The final commentary felt somewhat heavy-handed and disconnected from the acts themselves. I think it either needed to be woven more naturally throughout the show or given an act of its own to really make the message land.

This was a last-minute word-of-mouth recommendation and I’m so glad I went. Super creative, weird, funny, and just really fun to watch. The two performers are fantastic and it’s honestly wild seeing how they create everything right in front of you. One of those shows that feels very Fringe in the best way. Definitely recommend!

The show wasn’t nearly as long as slated in the program, but even at its shorter runtime, I found it difficult to stay engaged. The actors were great and brought a lot of energy and commitment to the material, but unfortunately, the story itself fell a little flat. That was particularly surprising considering the consistently high quality of work I’ve come to expect from this group.

Saw their Saturday show and I haven't laughed that hard in a really long time. The story is insane in the best way possible. The entire ensemble cast could all sing and dance. The music was extremely catchy. Highly recommend if you can still get tickets.
