Teal Verus
This one didn't quite do it for me, I felt like it was a few steps behind being fully fleshed out. I liked the premise but was a little confused throughout and felt it didn't come together as a clear narrative for me. I think if polished a bit more it could have promise!
Really exceptional story telling and wonderful puppets and costumes! The voice overlays really tied the story together in a funny and engaging way as well. I thought this was really well put together and visually looked great too!
This was an incredible one man clown show. I didn't know what I was getting into but I was very impressed with the artist's ability to tell such an engaging and comprehensive story through only gibberish and miming. It was funny, heartwarming and touching and very well thought out with great audience engagement. Surprise hit of the fringe for me!
For being in "draft" form this was really well done! The artists did a fantastic job with telling the story and it was a very clear narrative. Lots of fun videos interspersed throughout that really added to the story and gave us more information to propel it along. I found the narrative very strong and it was lovely to get to chat with the artists afterwards and ask questions and give feedback! Definitely check this one out!
Incredible show! The ability to do such gorgeous and tricky circus tricks combined with comprehensive storytelling of her life really made this show unique and a phenomenal watch. So sad she's already gone so there's no shows left, I would have watched again! Amazing raw talent and a lovely human to be in the company of.
Jon Bennett has a very interesting life story and knows how to tell it! He was humourous, could weave a good tale and had us surprised, laughing and wondering what he was going to come up with next. Definitely worth checking out!
Vincenzo Ravina is always a treat to see. How he comes up with such elaborate magic tricks always blows my mind! The show had a lot of dry humour so may not be for you if that's not your thing but works for me!
