Actual Wizard TONIGHT
Incredible! I still can’t figure out how he did it all!
Vincenzo Ravina is always a treat to see. How he comes up with such elaborate magic tricks always blows my mind! The show had a lot of dry humour so may not be for you if that's not your thing but works for me!
Vincenzo never disappoints. The audience engagement is a fun inclusion as always, and the video elements really add to the show. Never seen an Actual Wizard Show I didn't like! Family friendly, lots of laughs.
A wonderful blend of magic, comedy and parody. Even when I was pulled on stage, there were things I just can't explain. 110% recommend for kids and adult alike!
A strange and hilarious narrative, mind-blowing magic tricks, and all the weirdo charm of an actual wizard - I love Vincenzo's work and this new piece delivers!
Vincenzo puts on a show unlike anyone else. Hilarious, Lynchian, absurdist - all my favourite things! His act will completely and repeatedly blindside you, all embedded within a completely bizarre yet charming narrative. I guarantee you will never see another magic show like this. Not to be missed. 🪄
Super fun show. Vincenzo has a really interesting way of wearing storytelling into the tricks, so it always feels engaging. I could watch him do a show twice as long
I stayed at the Studio Theatre at Neptune for Vincenzo Ravina’s new show Actual Wizard Tonight. As we have established on this blog before, Vincenzo Ravina is a wizard. I can report to you once again this year that he is still a wizard. Haligonians love this show because Ravina can do things that are actually impossible to do- like cut up money and then put it back together, predict the future accurately over and over again, pull objects that we have already encountered out of the middle of a clementine… it’s obvious that he is made of magic, and the magic will astound you.
The conceits of Ravina’s shows are always different and creative, and in this one Ravina is hosting a late night talk show in the middle of the chaotic fallout of a satellite disaster that has eroded the division between this dimension and the next. Most of Ravina’s shows are built around the illusion of things going awry, but this show seems to be pushing how far he can go pretending to be presiding over an absolute flop of a talk show, while haphazardly also treating the audience to the most remarkable feats of wizardry. Vincenzo combines whimsical storytelling and hilarious comedy with mind-boggling Actual Wizardry. This show is a must-see in the saga of the Actual Wizard!
