Andrew made it encouraging and fun to participate in this event! Super clever comedy which explores the exploitation of the vulnerable by those with definitive answers in a broken and complicated world. A really important story about how to come into your own and realize the faults of the world without giving into those who’d exploit you. Must see!
Combining animation and live performance is such a neat experience! I couldn’t stop thinking “industrial revolution and its consequences…” while watching. Benton Elliott is doing a great commentary on how authoritarian capitalism takes hold and exploits from the land and people, to the benefit of the few and not the many.
A heartwarming yet emotionally visceral experience. If you love Pixar Shorts like me, you’ll love the show and the way it takes such a whimsical premise with funny dialogue and goes to such a real depth that hits close to home!
I audibly said “oh god” several times knowing the history behind this one - an amazing comedy that is taking one of the microcosms of American colonialism and saying something really profound about Manifest Destiny and American exceptionalism as a whole. The props and set are also beautiful and awe-inspiring (if you know you know). Can’t recommend enough!
August is a brilliant storyteller who brings their life experience into a really intimate and funny show. At the same time, they also explore the line between standup and a comedy show in a really interesting way that stays with you after the show. You also could get a free apple, which is a huge bonus!
Vincenzo combines whimsical storytelling and hilarious comedy with mind-boggling Actual Wizardry. This show is a must-see in the saga of the Actual Wizard!
