It's about tea! It's about time! F**k off, I'm steeping. You’ll chant a lot, cry some, laugh more. "FRINGE OF THE FRINGE" international award-winner Erika MacDonald boils water and makes cup after cup of tea. A THOUGHTFUL COMEDY brewed for you.

Saw this show the same day I had enjoyed tea and a scone at Holy Trinity Tea Room. Most delightful to take the time for tea with friends and then see a show and what’s better than two teas in one day?!

A lesson for me twice in one day that the process of taking time for ourselves is so important.

I didn’t think I was enjoying it, but by the end I walked away in a great mood and with great things to say. It creeps up on you. And there is tea.

Some fringe shows are very funny. Some shows make you cry.

This show made me take a moment to think of the finer things in life.

Not My Cup of Tea

This show I think is best described as a tea inspired fever dream. Some times you just need to tell someone to f off I'm steepping!

Who knew watching water boil could be so entertaining? Tea Time with Erika Macdonald showcases the intricacy and importance of making the perfect cup of tea all while sharing hilarious, heartfelt stories. From the moment Erika stepped on stage, she had the audience in the palm of her hand. She’s bold, bright and downright addicting to watch. Through her facial expressions and mannerisms, you are able to understand the story even while she's not talking. When she is talking, her projection is clear, crisp, and captivates the audience to listen closely. Erika’s storytelling is just the right combination of big and loud and funny while also being true to herself and discussing topics of mental health. Her show left everyone in that room feeling lighter, with the perspective of how to cherish even the smallest of moments.

Both funny and thoughtful, not just for lovers of tea (but we are celebrated in it.) the importance of taking time to steep and being good to yourself. And if you're lucky, a cup of tea.

A really sweet show about the value of routine and small pleasures (and why they aren’t so small). At first it seems repetitive but soon you get in the swing of things and the emotional heart at the centre of this show brings it all together

I’ve obviously gotta come out to support all fellow Erikas!! Super cute show about tea (of which I am a big fan) that also had some meaningful things to say. She said her name a lot which is actually somewhat starling when you share the same name. I got to hold one of the bags of tea supplies! Other people got actual cups of tea to drink! It doesn’t take forever but it does take time.
