Kidding Around
Kidding Around is a fully improvised, family friendly show! We will invite kids to get involved by shouting, cheering, and using their imaginations to create a show on the spot with our cast of professional improvisers. It will never be the same show twice and it’s guaranteed to be fun for the whole family!
A Show the Whole Family Can Enjoy!
Kidding Around was such a fun and wholesome show! It honestly felt like I had stepped into one of the children’s shows I used to watch on PBS. The whole production had such a calming, comforting atmosphere, and the live piano was especially soothing. The lighting was also top-tier and matched each scene perfectly, making everything feel even more immersive.
The cast did an amazing job getting the kids involved and encouraging them to use their imaginations to create hilarious, silly improv scenarios right on the spot. And parents, don’t fret! There were plenty of jokes sprinkled throughout that were clearly catered toward the adults, and I heard lots of parents laughing along too.
I would definitely recommend Kidding Around if you’re looking for a high-quality, fun, and entertaining show that both kids and adults can enjoy!
I take my son to this show every year because it’s such a great way to expose kids to improv! The team always does such a great job of creating a fun and welcoming kid-friendly environment! We all laughed and had a great time! The green team won!!
I’m just kidding around! I was just a joke! And jokes they did make. This show was a fun and energetic performance for both children and adults having physical movement and thinking games. The fun thing about Kidding around is that it is an improvisation show, making each performance different and unique.
What the Kidding around cast did for this performance was a competition between 2 teams, a pink team and a blue team. The goal for each team was to accumulate as many points as possible through games, which then the audience would choose the team they thought deserved the points.
The performance had 3 rounds making both teams do different things to get the most support from the audience. Some of the activities included Zumba, improv games with suggestions or help from the audience, and a round of using props with different purposes. All of these games allowed for both children and adults to participate. Making it a family friendly show that everyone can enjoy.
This show did have a few design elements, one being the lighting. The lighting was very colorful and loud but not too bright to hurt the eye. It added a sense of silliness along with keeping the stage entertaining. During the performance we also got to listen to some songs that matched perfectly with the situation happening on the stage.
This was a very fun show and I personally did enjoy it. The actors' quick thinking on their feet is what also made this show so fun and enjoyable. Another factor that helped this performance so much was the respect and cooperation that the audience had in helping move the games forward. I would recommend this show to everyone, especially to children.
