Seasons of Souls

Rooted in contemporary ballet, this bold new work places time at the centre of everything—stretching, fracturing, and suspending it through cutting-edge movement. Athletic, precise, and visually striking, the dancers drive a high-impact experience that asks: how do we spend our time, and do we ever truly have enough?

I had been looking forward to see this young choreographer bring her vision to life. Toronto has a huge gap for contemporary ballet and I am a sucker for a conceptual performance... Keir Collective blew me away in both regards. The dancers did such an incredible job demonstrating the athleticism, emotion and passion required for this fascinating show. I am blown at the variety of music (techno, piano, distortion, folkloric), variety of dance styles and how dynamic the performance was. The lifts!! The expression!! The PASSION!! This is a show you do not want to miss.

See It Again

A stunning and moving experience in dance. Evocative and powerful. Not a word spoken, of course, Still, I I wept as these sensational dancers took us all on a journey through life and our emotional connection to each other...both whimsical and passionate. I was in awe of this production. The music enhanced every dance segment. The performers are gifted and clearly love Dance. It's a must see, in my opinion.

Seasons of Soul: - Emotional and uplifting - Two of pieces within the show bought me to tears - Would recommend to others who enjoy dance and physical storytelling (I'm a big fan myself), and would see it again if I could fit it into my schedule - Only reason a star is taken off is because there were sound issues in one of pieces, and the sound of squeaking from the performers' feet on the stage at times (which was takes you out of the emotional experience slightly) - My favourite dance show for Fringe so far, and will remain so. Really, just stellar.

I wanted to see at least one dance work at Fringe and I'm glad I picked this one. It was great to see the diversity in the ensemble and everyone having a moment to shine in the piece. The music ranged in rich genres but I especially loved the rave/club moment halfway through. The projections complimented the movement well, serving as an extension, a doubling, a stretching of the ensemble's movements.

After watching Sydney Keir perform in Fringe shows over the past two years, I was incredibly excited to see her choreographic debut this year, and she absolutely did not disappoint. I was completely blown away.

Seasons of Souls combines stunning choreography, incredible athleticism, and cutting-edge technical elements to create a beautiful, thought-provoking work. Each dancer is exceptionally talented in their own right, but together the ensemble could go toe-to-toe with any dance company in Canada.

I was particularly impressed by the show’s use of projection. Rather than distracting from the performance, it enhances the storytelling and deepens the emotional impact of the piece.

Exploring time, our relationship with it, and how that relationship evolves throughout our lives, Seasons of Souls is a must-see at the 2026 Toronto Fringe.

See It Again

A beautiful and athletic performance performed by artists who showed sincerity and love for their art form on stage. Music choices were powerful and diverse. Some of the group parts were really intense. Each dancer brought their unique touch and the choreographer was able to capture each and highlight their individual strengths and uniqueness. Well done and very inspiring! Bravo
